San Luis to Riverside

It's been a couple of days, so sorry for not updating but... We've played some fun shows and got to hang with some friends, family in the meantime. San Luis obispo was a success with great sound and Great people. We've been "super-jamming" a handful of songs and I think it's my favorite part of everynight! We've been webcasting the shows whenever we can and that's also been great. So.... Even if you're too far away you can still tune in http://www.ustream.tv/channel/up-yours-kevin-seconds
Check it out, you can even view some archived shows we've already played.

Haunted hotels and Sea Views

On our way out of the beautiful redwood forrests of the Santa Cruz mountains we stopped at the haunted Brookdale Lodge! It's a pretty interesting place and in the main dining room an actual brook/river runs through it. Apparently a little girl fell off of the bridge into the creek and died. Then some years later another little girl died in the pool. They both supposedly haunt this hotel. Here's the creepy pool, which is still full of water which is now a little swampy... Creepy.

Heres the view through the viewing glass at the deep end of the pool.

Santa Cruz

So after we enriched ourselves with stories of our Bigfoot cousins, we headed down the mountains to The Crepe Place in Santa Cruz, our venue for the night. After stuffing our bellies with crepes galore it was time to play the show!

Bigfoot museum continued...

It was great to meet Mike who owns and operates the Bigfoot museum in Felton, CA in the mountains of Santa Cruz. The museum is a small little red house just off of the main road.
Don't let the size throw you off because this little place is full of rich stories surrounding the sightings and musings of the Mighty Bigfoot.

Vamos al museo de BigFoot!

We are in route to Santa Cruz, but more importantly the Bigfoot Museum!! How exciting! I'll take photos... For now... I'll let u see this sad photo... Kevins phone got runned over lastnight.. Boo!

Also... I thought this photo was fitting..

Reno Show....

It was so great to be reunited with our friends Kevin, Kepi and Dino, and the show was real fun. Thanks to everyone who came out, and Here's a little video I shot of Kevin playing the show tonight.

The Mighty Reno!

We have arrived! It was a fairly smooth trip from the mountain top to the mighty Reno. Now it's time to rest up for nickel slots tomorrow! :) ha. I'm so excited to get to hang out and make music with all of you, Kevin Kepi and Dino! Yahoo!!! Let the fun begin..... Let it begin with a good nights sleep! Here are some shots from today.

Nirvana...

NO, I don't mean the band. I mean, Nirvana: The ineffable ultimate in which one has attained disinterested wisdom and compassion.
Buddha once said.. "An idea that is developed and put into action is more important than an idea that exists only as an idea". Well, he couldn't have been more right. This, my friends, is a little piece of Nirvana.... rich dark chocolate in the form of Buddha with green tea wonderfulness as a filling inside. Truly a spiritual experience.. :)

On that note... here's a joke for you..
"What did the Buddhist monk say to the hot dog vendor?"
Answer: "Make me one, with everything!"

Haha. :) I love that.

Sweet Home Alabama....

Don't know why that song is currently stuck in my head. I mean, I'm not from Alabama and I don't live there now... It feels like that song still manages to convey a feeling of HOME... Funny how the emotional energy put into music really does translate in some way. I definitely sing right along with the chorus of that song when i hear it now and then. It almost doesn't matter that they're saying Alabama... It feels like Sweet Home-Homey-Home-Home. I wonder what someone who doesn't even speak English feels from that song? Anyway... haha. That's my deep thought for the moment.. Music is Awesome. My "Sweet Home Alabama"My "Sweet Home Alabama"
